25 August – Farren Lake Road – unknown person(s) have been in using the cottage facilities in the past three weeks – food eaten and washroom facilities utilized – police attended and investigating.

On the 24th of January 2009 several ice shacks were reported broken into on Black Lake, southwest of Perth. The break and enters occurred within the previous week where numerous ice fishing related items were stolen. As a result of a police investigation the stolen property from the ice shacks and in addition three snowmobiles originally stolen from South Frontenac Township were recovered on the 27th of January 2009 in the Stanleyville area. Two men from Tay Valley Township ages 21 and 25 have been charged with several counts of possession of stolen property and remain in custody pending a bail hearing on the 30th of January 2009. This incident remains under investigation and further charges are pending.

An Ingersoll Rand Compressor was reported stolen to police on the 06th of January 2009 after it was discovered stolen from a business property located on Highway 7 in the vicinity of Harper Road, west of Perth. The theft is believed to have occurred within the last few weeks. The stolen item is further described as having the numbers “15390” painted in black, and a bronze ½ inch tag with the number 25033 on one side. The compressor which is quite large would most likely have been transported on a trailer.
 

A residence located on Upper Scotch Line in the vicinity of Noonan Side Road, west of Perth was reported broken into on the 09th of January 2009. Entry was made via a window at which several items were stolen. Reported stolen; cream colored portable Webber BBQ with a black stand, Poulan Pro chainsaw model PP3516AUX, Toshiba 22 inch LCD television with built in DVD player model LV505C, Echo grass trimmer model #SRM 230 and approximately half a dozen tall beers – German brand. The time frame for the break and enter is believed to be between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the 09th of January 2009.

Two mailboxes located at Bolingbroke Road and Hanna Road (runs south off Hwy 7 at Maberly) were reported damaged overnight on the 10th of January 2009.  It appears that both may have been struck by a vehicle.
